In response to the devastation caused by Hurricane Katrina, The HSUS has begun a massive relief effort to rescue animals and assist their caregivers in the disaster areas. Our highly trained Disaster Animal Response Teams are moving into Mississippi today to begin a multi-state animal rescue and recovery effort. Our 38-foot Disaster Response Unit, along with other rescue vehicles affiliated with our teams, are fully stocked and on their way.

Our entire relief effort is funded by donations from people like you, and we desperately need your support. Please make an emergency contribution to our Disaster Relief Fund today! Stevie Wonder says it all. I love this girl. How cool is it that she even smiled for the camera? I swear she is NOT snarling at me! Dogs do smile, right?

I got to spend most of Sunday at her place and it was wonderful. I would love to be able to say we hung out together but she pretty much ignorned me again. I am beginning to wonder if she is playing hard to get. It was fun hanging at her place because she has lots of great smells in her yard and her dad gives out the bestest treats!

So what do you think. Do we make a cute couple or what? Do you think she is totally out of my league? I know I am HOT but am I HOT ENOUGH for her... "Your the only girl my heart beats for, how I wish that you were mine..."

You can't teach an old human new tricks

I know, I know. I am pretty darn cute aren't I? And all you humans out there remember...we can teach you a thing or two about life! Even if you are old.

She is a 10 in my book and I would LOVE to run with her on the beach anyday! Just click the link to read her story because she needs a good home. Mom says she has her hands full with one Westie, so no live in buddies for me. I think she is actually talking about my boy though since I am an angel!

Company!

We had lots of people at my house this weekend and I just LOVE all the attention I get! I got lots of treats, lots to bark at and lots of loving. All well deserved of course. People had lots of fun throwing the ball for me to chase around the yard. I prefer to spend my time begging but me chasing the ball sure amuses everyone. And since I love the attention, its all good. Plus they gave me treats afterwards since I was so darn cute!

Puppy Love

HUBBA HUBBA!! This is Aly and she is my true love. I am so enamored with her but yet she will not give me the time of day. I know I am a bit young for her and there is also the size difference. I can see past all of this why can't she? I can stare at her all day and she smells divine! She is 100 lbs of pure chocolate heaven! Luckily I get to visit her lots and sometimes I ever get to stay the night! Maybe someday she will see things differently but until then I shall admire her from afar. ((sigh))

It's all about ME!

Sheesh, mom says she is too busy today to type much up for me. Whatever! So I am making her at least post this layout she did about me so that it will hopefully remember what is most important here...ME!! Yeah so much for love, eh?

And whats up with all the pink? Well at least I am comfortable in my own manhood and hey maybe this will help to create a whole new fanclub for me? Because real dogs wear pink!

Missing my boy

My boy hasn't been around the last two days because school started. I really miss him. I miss having all the Lego's & Hot Wheels laying around because now there is nothing for me to run off with and chew. Maybe I can find one of moms flip-flops to chew on or some other mischief to get into. I can find trouble pretty darn easily around here and I know all the good hiding places too. Mom has found a few but I still have spots that I hide my cookies and stolen things. I hope my boy hurries up and gets home. Yesterday when he got home we went outside and he chased me all around the yard. I love that!! Did I tell you how much I miss him?

For my friend Lily

Hi Lily and thanks for writing to me! My humans thought I would be a big fraidy dog when I had my first chance to swim. Boy did I surprise them when I jumped right in with all 4 paws!! Here are some more photos of me showing off my doggy paddle skills at the lake. Maybe someday we can swim together and who knows maybe I can catch a delicious bass for you. So we are pretty much friends by now, right? Sweet!

Leader of my pack

This past weekend I got to go hiking again and just LOVE being outdoors. And it's even better when I don't have to be on a leash! I was leading my pack down the trail and they did a pretty good job keeping up with me. I got to chase a few birds and lizards that ran across my path but my humans kept ruining my fun by calling me back. I even got to swim in the river again which is so much fun! To bad there weren't any cool babes around to check out my swimming skills.

Hello Friends!

These darn paws don't let me type very well as you can see in my first post. So even though this blog is all about ME, I am going to have to have my human mom type for me. She can be pretty cool. She is the one who told me I should have my own blog. She is a scrapbooker and I guess when she posts some of her things online the layouts that always get the most comments are the ones with my pictures. Well duh! I could have told her that. I guess people are just attracted to my animal magnetism. Whatever that is. Here is one she made when I was just a wee little pup. Hard to believe I was even cuter back then isn't it?

My name is Pip which is short for Pippin. I was told I am named after a hobbit from Lord of the Rings. So even though I think the name is a bit sissy, I guess being named after someone from that movie is sort of cool! Anyways, they like to call me Pip, Pippy, Pippers, Buddy and sometimes NO! I am a 1 1/2 year old West Highland White Terrier but my humans always call me the Great White Terror. I have no idea why.
